| Every January is National Mentoring Month (NMM)! This month-long media and
outreach campaign focuses on the need for mentors, as well as how each
of us—individuals, businesses, government agencies, schools, faith
communities and nonprofits—can work together to increase the number of
mentors and assure brighter futures for our young people. There are a lot of people working to support youth through NMM, including some of the most prominent government officials. Both the White House and the State of Minnesota issued proclamations in 2010 declaring that January was National Mentoring Month. Download the proclamations and a template to submit to your local government for next January below. Below
are national and MPM-created media tools that you can download to
customize and use to support your recruitment efforts. **This year's
