Looking for help?
You’ve come to the right place!

The Mentoring Partnership of Minnesota (MPM) is here to provide or connect you with the support you need to start, maintain, and sustain quality mentoring initiatives. Here’s how:

Individual Consultation

MPM offers individual consultation to mentoring programs to help with any aspect of their program. We would love to meet with you to get to know your unique mentoring program, discuss your program's needs, and figure out how we might best be able to partner with you to provide you with the help you need.

We are happy to meet with you for a free initial consultation. For more information or to set up a meeting, please contact Carolyn Scherer, Director of Program Services, (612) 399-0229.

Free Technical Assistance through the National Mentoring Resource Center

The National Mentoring Resource Center (NMRC) provides free specific program practices based on their individual needs. The NMRC allows programs to access up to 50 hours of no-cost consultation to your program by expert MPM staff.

Here’s how it works: Fill out a short Technical Assistance Request (application) for your program on the NMRC website.  The NMRC sends your request to the closest mentoring partnership (if you are in or are around Minnesota, it will come to us at MPM). Next, MPM will review your application, complete an exploratory phone call, and begin working with you on your program’s needs.

Some recent examples of technical assistance provided to mentoring programs include:

  • development and revision of mentoring training materials

  • guidance and consultation on mentor recruitment plans and strategies

  • analysis of mentor screening processes

  • analysis of match support processes

  • in-depth evaluation planning

Be sure to check out the NMRC website for more information and to apply. You may also contact Carolyn Scherer, Director of Program Services at MPM, (612) 399-0229, if you have any questions. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!
